Polianthes Tuberose (Rajnigandha)
Tuberose :
A Fragrant attractive and most widely useful flower for decorations and scented oil.
Soil :  pH 6 to 7, for all types of soil. Well drained and airy soil is ideal.
Planting time: Throughout the year in plains, ideal march to may.
Spacing : Row to row 25-30 c.m, corms to corms 15 to 20 c.m, depth 3 to 5 c.m. 1lac corms per acre.
Climate : Tropical so ideal for plains.
Fertilizer : 10 to 15 ton of organic manure per acre before planting .  For optimum result 150kg Biostar, 10k.g zinc sulphate, 60k.g  amonium sulphate,80k.g phosphorus ,60k.g potash per acre is recommended.
Irrigation :  During summer ,water after 3 to 4 days. Humidity should be maintained.
Variety : Single – much scented  - 0.50 paisa each  Double - Suitable for cut flower – Rs 1.50 each
Protection : A very hardy so not much affected by pests & insects common pesticides and insecticides are used. Treat corms with Bavistin or kaptan before planting.
Rate @ 0.25 paisa per/ bulb(single), Rs.1 per bulb for double var.

FLOWER PLANTS

Gerbera
gerberaA perennial important commercial flower.

Climate & Soil : pH 5.0 to 7.2 suitable .In tropical and sub-tropical climate gerberas are grown in the open, but in temperate climate, they are protected from frost and cultivated in greenhouse/polyhouse.
Planting Time : Throughout year except rainy .
Varieties:  Flamingo, Xenia, Marm Clernentine, Yellow Clementine Anna, Damma, Zeltene, Aira,Fredaisy, Veronica, Fermin, Zalonora, Oranje Nassau, Californian Giant, Pandora Series, Paradle Series, Sunburst Series etc.
Fertilizers : 6.8gm N: 1.24gm p2 o5: 15gm k2o :4.54gm Cao: 1.25 Mgo per plant . For better development growth regulators  are useful.
Plant Protection:  Take expert’s expertise for different types of diseases like foot rot, root rot, blight, leaf spot, Powdery mildew that may occurred in gerbera’s cultivation.
Rate : Non Hy @  Rs.2 to Rs.5 each Tissue culture plant @ Rs.30 each

Gladiolus
The large - flowered Gladiolus are half-hardy plants which need some protection against frost.

Soil :
Well-drained and added organic manure is suitable for it. 6 to 7.25pH is suitable.
Planting time:
The best time in plains is between September to January. In places with mild climate it can also be planted in June to obtain flowgladiolusers in August.
Spacing :
Corms can be planted on beds or ridges. Ridges to ridges 10” walking space, depth of corms 10-15c.m, row to row 12” bulb to bulb 9 to 12”.  60000  to 70000 corms per acre.
Climate  :
Optimum 100 to 300 c.
Fertilizer :
  NPK fertilizer in the ratio of 12-10-18 @ 7k.g / 100sq meter can be applied. 3.55 k.g of granulated calcium nitrate per 100 sq. meter.  Should be used for top dressing.
Irrigation :
Fortnightly in winter and at weekly intervals in summer .

Guava

Climate& Soil : pH 4.5 to 8.2 susceptible to severe frost.Annual rainfall 100c.m is sufficient.

Fetilizer : FYM 30 kg, SSP 2kg, MOP 1kg, Thymet 10gm per pit.

PineapplePineapple

Climate & Soil:  Optimum temp. 22to35 degree C, Annual rainfall 100 to 200 c.m. pH 5 to 6, sandy loam and heavy clay soil is ideal.
Spacing:  60x60 c.m. Planting time -Aug to oct.
Fertilizers:  12gm N, 2gm Phosphorus, 12gm potash per plant when planting beside use of FYM.

Mango
Magnifera indica is the king of fruits. Of the total fruit producation of india Mango’s contribution is 39.5%.
Soil : Can be grown alluvial to latertic soil expect black cotton soil. It grows well in soils with slightly acidic pH. PH beyond 7.5 is not suitable. Well drained soil is suitable.
Climate : A tropical fruit Temperature 24 to 35 c is ideal. Rainfall 25cm to 300cm. Bright sunny days and moderate humidity during flowering is ideal for mango growing.
Planting time : Throughout the year, June – July ideal except in extreme cold and rain.
Fetilizer & Mannuring : Vary with region, soil type and age. 73 N, 18 p205and 68 k205 in 2 split doses during June- July and October. Spray zinc Sulphate in Feb,mango March& May. Boray (0.5%) after fruit set twice at monthly intervals. 0.5% Manganese Sulphate after blooming.
Spacing : For Kalmi Aaam – 10x10 meter (suekal , langola, chqusa etc.)  For : 12x12 meter
For Dwarf – 3x3 meter (like Amarpali, Mallika etc.) For hi-density planting

Irrigation : New plants need at least 30 liters every week. Grown-up trees at10 days intervals. Watering may vary or the age, soil and climate.
